Mech-Q's User Defined Valve Instructional Video

This video gives detailed instructions for Mech-Q's user defined valve option. In this video you will learn how to define custom valves based on manufacturers data. You wiill see how to specify the dimensions, pull-down menu name and the valve discreption that will appear in your bill of materials. You will also learn how to easily substitute the schematic based valve with a highly detailed valve suitable for photo-realistic rendering.

Real World CAD's 3-D Dimensioning Tool Overview Video

This video provides a brief overview of Real World CAD’s 3-D dimensioning tool. This software tool makes dimensioning in 3-D model space simple and fast. At its heart, this tool uses your CAD engine’s native dimensioning command. In most cases this means no additional changes to your dimension settings will be necessary. It also means that all dimensions are editable using the native tools of your CAD engine. With our tool you will be able to dimension a 3-D isometric drawing easier than dimensioning a 2-D isometric drawing. Like all of our tools, the dimensioning tool is also compatible with the AutoCAD, BRICSCAD, GstarCAD and many other IntellliCAD CAD engines. Go to CADavenue.com for downloads and more information.

Real World CAD's Type-Z 3-D Elevation Tool Instructional Video

This video will describe in detail the Real World CAD’s Type-Z routine. The Type-Z routine will allow you to change the elevation (“Z” component) of any 3-D cad entity. The flexibility of the Type-Z tool along with its Pseudo Calculator mode will practically eliminate the use of a dimensional calculator for setting the elevation of piping, ducting, structural members, architectural element, plumbing fixtures and practically any 3-D CAD entity. In this video we will use the Type-Z routine to set the elevation of the beams using the structural engineer’s drawings using the absolute mode, set the elevation of the ceiling elements using the height above finished floor from the architects drawings and finally set the elevation of the pipe and ducting to avoid collisions with all of the elements in the area. We will also use the Type-Z routine to set the elevations of the plumbing fixtures in a men’s room. This will include setting the starting elevation for the vent manifold. All of this will be done without the use of a dimensional calculator. Go to CADavenue.com for downloads and more information.
